A celebration of 40 years of the DeLorean marque!
DeLorean 40 is a world-wide celebration of the most iconic stainless steel automobile in the world! We celebrate the people that designed, engineered, manufactured, assembled, tested, distributed, service, and restore this automobile. Even more importantly, we celebrate the OWNERS of the present and the past that continues to keep these beautiful automobiles on the road today!
The DeLorean DMC-12 sports coupe continues to WOW the motoring and general public throughout the world. With its stainless steel skin, gull-wing doors, and it’s timeless design, this iconic automobile with a huge cult classic following will continue to capture hearts and generate smiles now and well into the future.
From January 21, 2021 to October 19, 2022, our Delorean community will drive, show, shine, service, restore, and CELEBRATE throughout these next 22 months! Join the party throughout our social media channels, your DeLorean friends, your local DeLorean club, and here on our website.

Take a photo of where you store, park, or keep your DMC-12 on our DeLorean 40 Facebook page. BONUS: You will receive a DeLorean 40 commemorative certificate if you have a THEMED DeLorean garage or storage area.
March – “March Movie Madness Month”
During the month of March, celebrate your dream by creating a video of you with your DeLorean, or capture your DeLorean experience. Grab your mobile devices, video cameras, drones, or SLR’s. It can be a continuous shot or an edited show. The stipulations of this event: Must be your own genuine work, rated “G”, and duration at 3 minutes or less. Post your work on our DeLorean 40 Facebook group or on our MeWe group.
March 1 – 7
“Forward to the Past”
As we move forward on the highway of life, reflect the past and the journeys you have experienced with your DeLorean or express your DeLorean experience either on video or photos. This is heavy!
March 8 – 14
“Stainless Journeys of a Lifetime”
Reminisce your experiences, your special trips, or awesome journeys with your DeLorean DMC-12 on video.
March 15 – 21
“Your Stainless Soundtrack”
What is your favorite “soundtrack” when you drive your stainless dream? Shout out your favorite tune(s) as you travel down the road driving your DMC-12.
March 22- 28
“The Ultimate Upgrades”
The DeLorean DMC-12 is certainly an owner’s car. Show off your ultimate upgrades that you have done to your DMC-12 on video or photos.
APRIL – “DeLoreans in the Wild”
As the weather begins to clear (and hopefully the COVID cloud, too), the spring season is now in full bloom. It’s time to bring your DMC-12’s into the wild! Take a drive throughout your neighborhood or travel cross town for the public to see and smile as you drive your beautiful DeLorean automobile. Host a stainless caravan with your DeLorean friends or club as the public “wow factor” increases with DeLorean traveling en-mass. Enjoy the journey throughout the month of April.
March 29- April 4
“On Top of the World”
Take a photo or video of you and your car “On Top of the World”. This can be on top of a parking garage. A turnout overlooking the city. It can be your car on a lift, lifted, or a photo / video of you with D-Rex! Have a BALL with this one!
April 5 – 12
“Gull-wings in the Sky”
Show your photographic creativity and snap a photo of your doors with the sky as your artistic backdrop. The shot can be just the doors in the frame or you can include the entire car. The only prerequisite is both doors need to be in the sky! Let your creativity for this photo opportunity go wild.
