In storage for about 20 years, this 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 was purchased in 2019 as a non-running project. Instead of going for a original running quest, the owner decided to turn this sports coupe into a stainless supercar!
A Kia Stinger-sourced 3.3-liter V6 fitted with twin Garrett G25 turbochargers was swapped, paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential from a Porsche 911.
Additional modifications include a 3″ center-exit dual exhaust system, Recaro seats, KW Variant 2 coilovers, Ferrari 348 Challenge-sourced brake calipers, and an Alpine stereo.
The winning bidder truly owns a one-of-a-kind 80’s icon hypercar! Watch the final 48 minutes of the bidding, thanks to Todd Bustillo of DeLoreanTech.
